Sea World San Antonio
January 8th, 2009Sea World is fantastic. If your kids are at all interested in animals, it’s a must-do trip. We combined it with the San Antonio Zoo and the Natural Bridge Wildlife Park for an all-animals weekend.
The key to enjoying Sea World is to plan your day. There are a handful of shows you have to see, so look at the schedule in advance (preferably in connection with a map), and plan out where you need to be and when. We did a good job of planning the timing, but we ended up crossing back and forth across the park going from show to show, rather than organizing our schedule by geography.
The highlights of our day at Sea World were:
(1) Dinner with Shamu — Food is great. For the money, the experience is fantastic.
(2) Feeding the Lorikeets — This was really cool, and our 3 year old loved it.
(3) The sea lions show — The walrus makes the whole show.
(4) Feeding the dolphins — Amazing how close you can get to them. They actually encourage you to pet them.
Shamu and his friends will make your trip worthwhile. Make sure to visit Sea World if you are in San Antonio.
